5 Steps to create a better smoothie

Choose the base liquid 6-12oz

  • Organic Whole Milk
  • Hemp, Almond, Coconut or other Organic Nut Milk
  • Water
  • Green Tea or Matcha

Choose a Protein Supplement 20-40 grams (1-2 scoops depending on serving size)

  • Whey
  • Hemp
  • Vegetable / Vegan based
  • Casein

Add Veggies and/or Fruits 2-4 cups (rule of thumb 2 handfuls of vegetables for each handful of fruit)

Vegetables

  • Leafy Greens (kale, Spinach, Swiss Chard, lettuce)
  • Cucumber
  • Celery
  • Beets
  • Carrots
  • Organic Powdered Greens Supplement

Fruits

  • Apple
  • Pear
  • Banana
  • Berries
  • Pinneapple
  • Organic Powdered Fruits Supplement

Fats 1-2 tablespoons

  • Raw Organic Nuts (Almonds, Cashew, Brazil, Macadamia, Walnut)
  • Raw Organic Seeds (Chia, hemp, flax, pumpkin)
  • Organic Nut Butters
  • Coconut Oil

Extras

  • Ginger
  • Tumeric Root
  • Cinnamon
  • 1/2 lemon or lime

Using a High Quality Blender is Key

There are many great blenders to choose from. Since I started marking smoothies I have gone through many different types and variations, trying to find a blender that thoroughly blends everything I put in it. I would hate having to spend time chooping up all the ingredients I wanted to put into my smoothie in order for it to "blend" or choose to use certain ingredients based on it blending or not.
